The Key to Friendship

This month in church the series is "Ubuntu" and to summarize what it means can simply be put into 1 word - Friendship. I get excited when Emille is preaching as he has a way of putting the message across in an incredible way. Not this Sunday past but the one before he gave a few guidelines to what makes a really good friendship.

1. Spend Time - We are all busy with a whole lot of stuff and sometimes we just forget about how that special friend is doing. Instead give that special person a call and see how they are doing and even make time to have that cup of coffee together,

2. Make Friends a priority - Friends and family should come first. There is nothing worse then thinking only about yourself.

3. Be There - If your friend is having a hard time then make that dash out the door and be there for that person.

4. Don't keep Score - We all have our flaws but good friends overlook those flaws and will stay honest and Loyal to the very end.

5. See the Small things - If your friend could be indecisive or unsure, it may mean something is wrong.

6. Focus on the positive - Always remember the good times spent together.
