A Gymnastics Update - Dream Big for 2011
They say life is sometimes Deju-Vu. At the beginning of the year after a successful year with EBC Youth 2 words came to mind "Aim Higher". Its time that I refer back to that mind frame but within my life as a gymnast, a while back I took down an old newspaper clipping with the following thought in mind and that of a new era in Gymnastics. 2 weeks ago having won the award that I did, now to some its just another award (Most Perseverance) but that moment meant the world to me as its just another way of saying Aim Higher, I have achieved so much over the past years with challenges but 2011 will bring about something special, I'm confident that it will be the year that I get past Eastern Gauteng and into nationals. Gymnastics means the world to me, I may have been skateboarding longer but dreams have already been more then achieved in skateboarding to the point that I help co-lead a group in Kempton Park but with Gymnastics I have dreams that I want to achieve more then anything and I continue to pray but I also trust God so much that 2011 will be the year that big things happen in my Gymnastics career. A question was brought to me by my coach at prizegiving "Why are you here" and to that I answer "Because I want to go really far". As a closing statenent I would like to make the following quote "Gymnastics 2011: Aim Higher".
