A Journey through Romans - Chapter 3

I guess by now, you must be feeling more guilty after Romans 2 but one thing about chapter 3 is that God brings back some good news.

Paul starts off with a continuation of the law and and how some perceived that the way to salvation was in fact by doing works but take the ten commandments and haven't we all broken at least one of them at some stage in our life so that means that we must all be screwed but then there is a way out that no other faith goes on to tell and its found in the following passages

Rom 3:23  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Rom 3:24  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Wow, now isn't that good news that even though we all mess up there is still a way to salvation and that is through the cross of Jesus and he accepts us for who we are. I love that the word redemption falls into play as what that means is that we are brought back into a relationship with God by having his son Jesus pay the cost for every single one of us on the cross, all our sins were in fact nailed to Jesus on the cross and it changes how we live and suddenly salvation comes about not by work but by faith that no matter how hard we try God still loves us and will never leave us and all we need to do is just trust him even in the hard times.
